The
Barracudas swim club was started in the spring of 2002 with 8 children
from the shark swim level and has continued to grow ever since. Our aim
is to introduce participants to competitive swimming skills, help them
develop better technique, and encourage lifetime participation in the
sport according to the YMCA of USA competitive aquatic philosophy.
There are 2 levels (Silver and Gold) for
youth, and Platinum (new) for Adults.
The requirements
are:

Silver:
Ability to swim 25 yd. crawl (freestyle), 25 yd. backstroke, and 25 yd.
breaststroke in good form (equivalent to passing the YMCA fish skill
level)
Swims on Tuesday and Thursday 6:45pm -
7:45pm or
Monday and Wednesday 6:45pm - 7:45pm

Gold:
Ability to swim 100 yd. of crawl (freestyle), 100 yd. of backstroke, 100
yd. Breaststroke, and 50 yd. Butterfly (equivalent to passing the YMCA
shark skill level)
Swims on Monday,
Wednesday, Friday 6:45pm - 8:15pm
·
Platinum: For
adults, who can swim well but want to brush up skills, build more
endurance, or participate in planned workout swims.
Swims on Monday, Wednesday, Friday
- Morning session at 6:30am -7:30am and the Night session at 8:30pm -
9:30pm
