The Ann Arbor YMCA is committed to making a difference in the lives of children and their families in our community. With your donation to the Annual Campaign, you make it possible for children and teens to take part in programs that teach them positive behaviors, allow them to explore their talents and help them grow and realize their potential.
With Annual Campaign funds, the YMCA is able to provide scholarships for childcare and afterschool programs, summer camps, youth aquatics/sports programs and Youth in Government. Donations also support our Ypsilanti afterschool sports programs, Chain of Plenty at the Delonis Center, and Youth Volunteer Corps. On behalf of the children, our volunteers and staff, thank you for your generosity!
The following are examples of how your Annual Campaign donations are used:
- Your gift of $100 Gives teens in our Youth Volunteer Corps the opportunity to complete service projects for homeless, elderly and low-income residents in our community.
- Your gift of $250 Gives two teens a month of our Chain of Plenty program, where they develop life and job skills while preparing meals for homeless, elderly and low-income citizens in our community.
- Your gift of $500 Gives working parents peace of mind, knowing that their preschooler is enjoying a nurturing, caring and safe environment in our Early Child Care program.
- Your gift of $1,000 Sends six teens to a three-day Youth in Government conference at the Michigan State Capital, where they take an active role in strengthening their own communities by attending mock Senate/House hearings and lobbying for passage of their own bills.
