Giving Tuesday

Following Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday kicks off the giving season. This global generosity movement reimagines a world built upon shared humanity and generosity. It’s 100% driven by people inspired to make a positive difference—people just like you.

Traditionally, the Ann Arbor YMCA focuses our Giving Tuesday efforts on supporting our international YMCA partners around the globe. However, due to the devastating damage caused by Tropical Storm Nalgae, 100% of this year’s funds will go to support our friends at the Albay YMCA and San Pablo YMCA of the Phillipines. Your support will help rebuild their community-sustaining farm, repair YMCA housing and educational facilities, and help provide basic necessities like food and clothing during this crisis.

$250 allows a child to join the YMCA’s preschool or afterschool programs for an entire year.

$125 helps replace the technology needed to mobilize young people to build sustainable solutions to fight further climate change.

$25 purchases new farming supplies and helps replant a garden that feeds the YMCA community.

$10 feeds a child a nutritious lunch and healthy snacks for a day at one of the Y’s many programs.

We hope you’ll consider contributing to this year’s #GivingTuesday.

Every gift—no matter how big or small—makes an enduring impact in our neighborhood, across our region, and around our world.

The YMCA is one of Washtenaw County’s leading 501(C)(3) non-profits, acting as a catalyst for community transformation through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. As a member of the YMCA Diversity, Inclusion & Global Innovation Network, the Ann Arbor YMCA integrates diversity and inclusion practices and global strategies across key operational and programmatic areas to strengthen our mission impact, community relevance, and long-term sustainability.

Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Deeply rooted in local communities around the world for more than 175 years, we have the long-standing relationships and physical presence not just to promise, but to deliver, lasting personal and social change.
