The Art of Calligraphy Workshop: An Introduction and Special Valentine Project
Calligraphy means "beautiful writing".  In this busy class you will be introduce to the elegant italic hand, a Renaissance style also known as chancery cursive.  We will learn and practice the rules of letter construction and discuss the topics of pens, inks, papers, crafts and good reference books.  So that you can use what you have learned, we will conclude the class by constructing a special Valentine.  The class will be geared toward the beginner.  Please bring scissors.  Other equipment and supplies will be provided.  Ages 14 and up.
