BUILDING FOR A STRONG FUTURE
Since 1920, the Ann Arbor YMCA has provided quality camps for children. Our staff is dedicated to giving your child the best camping experience possible. Our programs build your child’s self-confidence, encourage character development and increase physical activity. With more than 30 different camps available, there is something to suit every child.
Through the generous contributions of our donors, the Ann Arbor YMCA is able to provide financial scholarships that enable all members of the community to enjoy YMCA programs, regardless of income. Financial assistance applications are available at our Membership Desk or can be downloaded here. The deadline for scholarship applications is March 15, 2014.
All staff members are selected for their maturity, dedication, enthusiasm, and desire to work with children. Men and women are recruited from colleges and universities around the country and have years of experience working with children.
Our entire staff is CPR and First Aid certified and participates in an intensive training program that covers safety, supervision, counseling and camp procedures. Ann Arbor YMCA average counselor-to-camper ratios follow state guidelines to ensure that your child receives the best care and attention.
Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances. Up to seven days before the beginning of your camp, all funds, less the deposit, are refundable and transferable within other day camp programs. This includes transfers to a new session and/or current day camp balance dues.
Within seven days all funds are non-refundable and non-transferable to a balance due or new registration. A written physician-authorized note verifying illness or injury is required in order to obtain a refund if a child cancels within seven days of the session start date. If a camper fails to show for a registered session without notice, there will be no refund issued. In cases of homesickness, dismissal, or voluntary withdrawal, there will be no refund of any fees.
