Feldenkrais 1. Relax Your Neck and Shoulders – Sunday, April 30, 1:00-2:30 p.m.

  • Relax your tense, overworked shoulders
  • Restore freedom of movement to your head and neck
  • Improve your flexibility (without stretching)
  • Improve your posture (without straining your shoulders)

In this workshop you will learn gentle, restorative, re-organizing movements that will help to reduce chronic tension in your neck and shoulders and make them more flexible. We will also address the underlying issues that lead to tension and inflexibility. The movement sequences will be performed on the floor and in a chair. You will need to be able to get to the floor (mats) and rise without assistance.

Feldenkrais 2. Relax Your Jaw – Sunday, May 7, 1:00-2:30 p.m.

Learn to relax your jaw as well as other parts of your body that are often associated with jaw tension (neck, shoulders, etc.). Gentle movement patterns will bring about relaxation without force or stretching. In addition to reducing tension, the movement patterns will help improve the overall function of your jaw and reduce headache and other associated symptoms. If you suffer from day grinding or night grinding (bruxism) or TMJ syndrome, this workshop is for you!
