Lucile Kirk-Malcolm is a saved Christian and believer in Jesus Christ. I was born and raised in Carter, Mississippi. My father, Sam Kirk, Jr fought in World War II and only had a 3rd grade education. At the age of 8 it was time for him to work on the plantation – fixing machinery, chopping, and picking cotton. He and my mother raised 17 children. He made sure we all had an education. I attended
Mississippi Valley State University, and graduated with a Master’s degree from Eastern Michigan University. I live in Ann Arbor with my husband Robert Malcolm, Sr, and my two children Brenda and Robert Jr.

I am afraid every day for Robert Jr (18 years old). When he walks out of my door,
I am not at ease until he walks back in that door safe. I am just a mother that is always, and I mean always AFRAID. Black Lives Matter.

I am the president of Usher Board #1 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Ann Arbor, I serve on the Faith-Based Community Supervised Parenting Time Committee, JET (Judicial Engagement Team) Parenting Time Subcommittee, and Safe Family for Children Committee.

Lucile Kirk-Malcolm, Notary Public and Judicial Coordinator for the Honorable Julia B. Owdziej.
