For beginner level fencers ages 14 and up. This class is devoted to introducing Olympic style foil fencing. Students will learn the basic techniques of this age-old sport and work on reaction, timing, and point-control. Working together, students gain knowledge of etiquette and safety precautions, as well as an understanding for the rules and proceedings of a fencing match. Fencing is a mental and physical high energy sport, providing the intrigue of sword play with cardiovascular conditioning. Please wear court shoes and loose fitting clothes. Equipment is provided.

Attendance is encouraged each week, with options for private lessons available for those looking to progress their technique faster.
