At 6-36 months of age, water discovery introduces infants and toddlers to the aquatic environment through exploration and play. Accompanied by a parent or caregiver, children learn to be comfortable in the water and begin developing swim readiness skills through fun, confidence-building experiences. Parents also learn about water safety, drowning prevention, and the importance of active supervision. This class takes place in the Family Pool.
Due to age restrictions, a YMCA Director may be needed to assist with registration. Children who are 3 years old should register for Preschool swim lessons.
