Teens will be traveling by foot, a YMCA bus, or via public transportation to service project sites across Washtenaw and Wayne County.  Examples of agencies YVC has served in the past include The Oaks, Growing Hope, Avalon Housing, Natural Area Preservation (NAP),  CASS Community Services and Michigan Urban Farming Initiative in Detroit.

Under the supervision of YVC adult Team Leaders, participants take time to learn about the mission of each individual agency they serve. Teams work together to discuss the goals of each project and establish work guidelines prior to arriving at the service site. Each session concludes with a reflection process facilitated by a YVC Team Leader, who engages participants in meaningful group discussion and social justice activities.
